We're Here to Change How You Think About Manual Therapy
At Durham Spine & Sports Clinic, we believe healthcare works better when patients are treated the way practitioners would want to be treated themselves. That means taking the time to understand what's actually going on, explaining it clearly, and tailoring treatment to the individual in front of us; not a protocol.
Every care plan here is built around your specific presentation.

Breaking the Pain Cycle
Why does your pain keep coming back?
Chronic pain isn't just about the site of injury. Pain leads to muscle tension, which reduces circulation, which causes inflammation, which limits movement, and the cycle repeats. Without addressing the full picture, treatment that feels good in the short term rarely holds.
At Durham Spine & Sports Clinic, we start with a thorough assessment precisely because of this. Understanding the root cause, not just the symptom, is what breaks the cycle and produces results that last.
A Thorough Assessment Before We Touch You
Most patients who walk into this clinic have already tried something else. They've had treatment. They've been told to rest. They've been adjusted without anyone explaining what was actually wrong.
At Durham Spine & Sports, we do something different: we spend real time finding out what's going on before we start. Dr. Jamal conducts a full orthopaedic, neurological, and manual muscle evaluation at your first visit. You'll know exactly what we found and why we're recommending what we're recommending before treatment begins.
It's your body. You should understand it.
Back Pain, Neck Pain, and Complex Spine Conditions
At Durham Spine & Sports Clinic, we treat the full spectrum from an acute injury you got last week to a chronic condition you've been managing for years. Our approach starts with a thorough assessment: orthopaedic, neurological, and soft tissue, before any treatment begins.
